Sequoia Miller works in a quiet studio in the forest outside Olympia, Washington. Employing the vernacular of studio pottery, Sequoia's work explores his unique balance of functional tradition and individual expression. Each pot is wheel-thrown, entirely by hand, one-at-a-time.

Sequoia Miller began Swimming Deer Pottery in Olympia, Washington in 1996. Since then he has established himself as a full-time studio potter, exhibiting his work nationally and teaching both short workshops and community college courses.
